The Heart Of Our Programme.

CrossFit is our main class only available as part of the full CrossFit Membership (Not CrossFit Lite) and is taught in our main gym area at the box. Our experienced coaches carefully programme each weeks class structure and content so that you can get the most out of your training. CrossFit members signed up to the full membership gain access to an online members area where they can setup a personal profile, add goals, track exercises and workouts, personal records and view the nutrition blog.

A Typical CrossFit Class

Most CrossFit classes will take the following format. Starting with 5 to 10 minutes warming up using stretches and exercises based on the movements that are to follow, the class will then move onto working through various sets of a single or multiple movements to develop strength or perfect the skill before moving onto the final part of the class, the WOD.

The WOD stands for Workout Of The Day and will take one of the following formats:

  • AMRAP - Complete a set of movements in a specific order as many times as possible within the time cap
  • For Time - Complete a specific amount of a set of movements as fast as possible, usually with a time cap
  • Rounds For Time - Complete a specific set of movements a set number of times as fast as possible, usually with a time cap
  • EMOM - Complete a number of movements every time the clock passes a minute, on the minute for a set number of minutes
